MAUNGANUI IN PORT. RAN GIT AT A TO DISCHARGE. Sailing yesterday afternoon for Sydney, in continuation o£ her voyage from Vancouver, tlie B.M.m.s. Aorangi took 80 passengers from Auckland. The Maunganui, which arrived at midday to-day, is landing passengers, mails and cargo at the Central wharf, whence she is to sail for Wellington on her return trip to Sydney at 10 p.m. to-day. Three overseas ships arc due at Auckland to-morrow, the Levernbank from Java, the Canadian Conqueror from Montreal and the Rangitata from London via Wellington. The Levernbank has raw sugar from Java for discharge at Chelsea, while the two other vessels aro to discharge at the Prince s wharf.

The Canopus Is expected to sail for Portland this evening.

The motor ship Port Waikato arrived from Tauranga this morning and berthed at the KiDg'H wliarf. She is to sail tills evening for Wliangarei, whence she is to return to Auckland to load for southern ports. With passengers, mails and cargo from Sydney, the Union Co.'s steamer Maunganui arrived at Auckland at midday to-day, and berthed at the Central wharf. She is to sail at 10 p.m. to-day for Wellington, whence she is to be dispatched for Sydney on Friday.

In continuation of her voyage from Vancouver, the Union-s R.M.m.s. Aorangi sailed for Sydney from the Prince's wharf yesterday afternoon.

Due at Auckland from Java to-morrow, the motor ship Levernbank has a full cargo of raw sugar for discharge at Chelsea.

On her return voyage to Japan, via Sydney, the motor ship Brisbane Maru was dispatched from the Central wharr yesterday afternoon. To fill up for London, the C. and D. Line motor ship Port Alma Bailed yesterday afternoon for Gisborne, Wellington, Dunedin and Bluff. She is scheduled to clear Bluff for London on August 24.

En route from Melbourne to Auckland, the Union Co.'s steamer Kairanga Is delayed by adverse weather. She is now due here on Friday.

After discharge at the King's wharf, the motor ship Myrtlebank Is to sail at 4 p.m. to-day for Ocean Island to load another phosphate cargo.

Five hours behind time, the Union Company's steamer Maunganui arrived at Auckland from Sydney early this afternoon. The ship, which brought 67 passengers, encountered east-north-east winds for the greater part of the passage, and rolled considerably.

l'ho Union Co.'s steamer Karepo Is scheduled to leave Melbourne to-day for Adelaide and Edithburg, whence she is to return to Melbourne to fill up, sailing from there on August 16 for New Plymouth, Auckland, Napier and Wellington.

A further radio from the Canadian National steamer Canadian Conqueror states that she now expects to arrive nt Auckland from Montreal at 8 a.m. to-mor-row. She is to discharge the local portion of her cargo at the Prince's wharf, and the remainder at Wellington, Lyttelton, Timaru, Dunedin and Australian ports.

Having left Wellington yesterday afternoon, the New Zealand Shipping Co.'s motor ship Rangitata is due at Auckland at daybreak to-morrow to complete discharge of her general cargo from London at the Prince's wharf. From here she is to go south to load, returning to Auckland to sail finally for London on Seotember 3.

On her sailing from QueDec on June 16 to Southampton, the 42,500-ton Canadian Pacific liner Empress o£ Britain created a new speed record, Father Point to Cherbourg in 4 days 7 hours 58 minutes. Her previous record for this run was 4 days 9 hours, 20 minutes. Her new time is 0 hours and 8 minutes less than the present record between Ambrose Light and Cherbourg on the New York service.
