SUNSHINE ASSOCIATION.
LARGE PARTY ON SATURDAY.
A party of 93 children selected by the Health Department's doctors from Se various city and suburban primary schools will leave by launch < at 10 o'clock on Saturday morning for toe Community Sunshine Associations health camp on Motuihi Island The party consists of 58 boys and 35 girls. Another party of 95 will also return on tl,esame P da/about 12.30, consisting of 63 toys and 32 girls. The ages of the children who visit the health camp range between 6 and 14. The secretary of the association said to-day that it was probable another party would go to the island when the party to leave on Saturday returns to Auckland. At the annual meeting of the association last night it was decided to make a recommendation to the incoming board to face the responsibility of sending another party, despite depleted funds. The secretary said that a visit was made to the island recently by Sir Frederick Menzies, one of the chief health officers in London, in company with Dr. T. J. Hughes, of the Health Department, and Sir Frederick was much impressed by the work being done for children by the association. He thought that there was no better work being done anywhere.
