BILLIARDS
AUCKLAND CHAMPIONSHIP.
Another game in the open billiards championship was played in the Vulcan Lane Billiard Parlours last evening, when a hard-fought contest between G. Adams and G. Basham was witnessed. The former won by one -point. At one stage of the game Basham was more than 100 points behind, but by steady play he made up the deficit. Both players showed good form, although the breaks were not large. The tournament will be continued this evening, when PI. A. Massey meets E Lester, and to-morrow evening, when A Satchell is drawn to play against P. Murphy. - . . ■ .
