DEFAMATORY LIBEL.
ACCUSED FOUND GUILTY.
JURY ADDS RIDER.
At the retrial of George Budd, aged 35, seaman, and Ernest Frederick Thompson, agent, yesterday, at the Supreme Court, both men being charged with publishing a defamatory libel against John Larder, police inspector, the jury returned a verdict of guilty. The jury added a rider that Thompson, in its opinion, was of weak intellect, and easily influenced. Both accused were remanded for sentence till the en<\ of the criminal sessions.
