BURGLARY CHARGES.
. WANGANUI MEN PLEAD GUILTY. THREE COMMITTED FOR SENTENCE. TWO GRANTED BAIL. (By Telegraph.:—Press Association.) WANGANUI, tliie day. 'At the preliminary hearing of a mini ber of charges of burgjary in Wangamu extending from December last, Herbert Vivian Walkington Buttrey and Victor Robert Ward, labourers, pleaded guilty to several charges and were committed for sentence. Thomas Butler, farmer, admitted two charges and was also committed. Ward and Butler were allowed bail. Early one morning last week police camped about 40 miles up the Wangaivii River arrested the three accused aud also found suitcases containing stole;; goods in the bush. It was alleged that The accused had been swimming their horses across the river, riding to Wanganui and returning with etolea goods before daylight.
