COMFORT FOR TRAVELLERS.
An advertisement in this issue gives a reminder to the travelling public that the modern provision for the public at the Auckland railway station includes bathrooms, hairdressing ealoon, refreshment room, fruit shop and bookstall, which are controlled by the railway refreshment branch. The Department feels that if these facilities were more generally known, to the travelling public they would be availed of to a much greater extent, especially by ■people arriving in the early morning by the express from the South.
