LEAGUE FOOTBALL.

ENGLISH TOURISTS.

FIRST GAME TO-MORROW. TEAM TO PLAY NORTHLAND. The New Zealand tour of the English Rugby League team will open to-morrow, when a solid eide will meet a Northland thirteen at Whangarci. The ignglieh team left Auckland this morning, and those remaining behind put in solid practice at Carlaw Park. The visitors are not inclined to treat the New Zealand team to play the first Test on Saturday very lightly, as they know from past experience that any Dominion team is not easily defeated.
