WAGON DERAILED.
EXPRESS TRAFFIC DELAYED. MISHAP AT LEVIN. The derailment of an "L" wagon of a goods train about two miles north of the Levin station yesterday afternoon about '•i o'clock, delayed, express traffic for over two hours. The accident was caused by the breaking of an axle. There was a delay of two hours twenty minutes, when (lie WellingtonAuckland express reached Levin at 4.5 p.m. The train was dispatched from Murton Junction two hours five minutes after its scheduled time, but made up about mi hour on the remainder of the journey to Auckland, arriving in the city at 7.49 a.m. to-day. Its usual arrival < iiiiu is li..'M. Tho New Plymouth express, ordinarily due at Levin at 4.4 p.m., was held up for two hours, and did not get to Wellington until S.lJi p.m., instead of fl..'i p.m. 'Clio ferry ror Lyttelton was held back for 40 minutes to allow passengers for the South Island to arrive.
