AUCKLAND REFEREES,

REPRESENTATIVE OFFICIALS.

At last night's meeting of the Auckland Rugby Referees' Associatiou, Mr. Frank Sutlierland presided over an attendance of 57 members. The Kaipara Association was granted affiliation. Mr. L. ,T. Carpenter passed his oral examination and qualified for full membership. , . , On the occasion of his approaching marriage, a presentation was made to Mr. Claude Schnauer. He has been actively connected with the administrative side of the association's affairs for the past couple of seasons. „ Messrs. A. D. Austin, M. Kroufcld, G. Peace, C. F. Paull and .J. G. C. Wales were congratulated on being empanelled for representative matches. It was decided that in future referees be asked to make a periodical inspection of boots, and to warn players that if studs are found to bo at all dangerous they will not be permitted to take part in matches.

AUCKLAND ALL BLACKS. 1 M. Corner (Grammar Old Boys) was the recipient from his clubmatcs yesterday of a set of inscribed gold cuff links prior to his departure last night to join the AH Black team hi Wellington. F. Solomon and P. Caughey also went away by the express last night. B. Pnlmer will be officially farewelled by the Otahuhu Club to-night and will leave for Wellington to-morrow evening.
