WEDDINGS OF THE DAY.
STEWART—COOKE. A quiet wedding of considerable interest waK solemnised at St. Matthew's Anglican Church this morning, when Winifred, younger daughter of Mr. and Mrs. AV. A. Cooke, Bella. Vista Road, Herne Bay, and Dudley, only son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Stewart, Marine Parade, Herne Bay, were married. The Ven. Archdeacon MaeMnrray officiated, and Mr. Philpot presided at the organ. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a simple frock, ankle length, of ivory tucked georgette and silver lace. Her veil of ivory net, which fell from a cap of silver lace, was held in place with a wreath of orange blossom, which formed drops at the ears. She carried a shower bouquet of cream and pink roses and sweet peas with tulle and silver streamers. In attendance as bridemaid was Miss Ida Lusk, who wore a turquoise blue silk frock, a felt hat of the same shade trimmed with pink and turquoise blue velvet ribbon, and she carried a sheaf of pink luculia and tingitana iris. The bridegroom was attended by Mr. Ronald McDonald. After the ceremony a reception was held at "Avonholme," the home of the bride's parents. Mrs. Cooke received the guests in a frock of floral pattern ring velvet in shades of cyclamen, violet and mauve, and black velvet hat with a cyclamen and violet top. She carried a shower bouquet of cyclamen and violets. Mrs. Stewart, the bridegroom's mother, wore a brown velvet and georgette frock, hat to tone with a. fawn and brown ostrich feather, and carried a bouquet of autumn tints. Mrs. Guy Faircll, the bride's sister, wore a brown marocain frock and hat to tone with an orange quill.
