FARM FINANCE.
RURAL CREDIT CONFERENCE. FIVE YEARS' OPERATIONS. LOANS TOTAL NEARLY £1,000,000. (By Telegraph. —Press Association.) PALMERSTON NORTH, this day. As the result of nearly five years' operations rural loans have been authorised amounting to close on £1,000,000. This statement was made to-day by Mr. Norton Francis, in presiding at a conference of representatives of the Rural Intermediate Credit Board and co-operative rural intermediate credit associations of Taranaki, Wanganui, Manawatu, Hawke's Bay and Wairarapa districts. The agenda included 40 remits dealing with farm finance. A message was read from the Prime Minister thanking all members of assor ciations for their voluntary work in administering the scheme.
