THEFT OF MOTOR CARS.
TWO RECOVERED; TWO MISSING. Joy riding in stolon or "converted motor cars seems to be on the in Auckland. .On Sunday night; a large seven-seater car belonging to Mr. William Casey, of Hamilton Road, Heme Bay, was taken from its garage, and on the same night a motor car belonging to Mrs. Johnston, 48, Marine Parade, Heme Bay, was taken from its garage. Mr. Casey's car was found abandoned in Norwich Street, off Newton Road, yesterday morning, and Mrs. Johnston a cur also was recovered yesterday. The number plates hacl been removed. A motor car owned by Mr. Richard Charles Flay, 12, Dormwell Road Mount Albert, was stolen from the front of his homo about 7 o'clock last night. It was a five-seater tourer, painted red, with black mudguards. From Grantham Street, Hamilton, last night, a motor coach valued at otfned by Mr. Noel Johnson, solicitor, of Hamilton, was taken. It was a 190 l model, painted dark blue, with light blue lines. The registered number of tlie i missing car is 52-864.
