FIJI SHOW.

EXHIBITION OF PRODUCTS. AN AUCKLAND DISPLAY? An agricultural and pastoral show is to be held, in Fiji on October 11 next, and tlie possibilities of arranging for a display of products from the Auckland province are to be explored. The Auckland Manufacturers' Association, at its meeting yesterday afternoon, received a written suggestion from-the Hon. R. Masters, Minister of Industries and Commerce, that its executive should get in touch with the Auckland A. and P. Association to discuss the question of making a combined exhibition at the show of primary and secondary products. The belief was expressed by the Minister that it was possible to increase New Zealand's export trade with Fiji, and he suggested that the approaching exhibition would provide an opportunity for bringing New Zealand products and manufactures to the notice of Fijian importers. The president, Mr. S. Takle, said the matter was one of considerable interest, and it should be taken up. Mr. J. A. C. Allum suggested that the executive of the A. and _P. Association should be approached with a view o convening a joint meeting of the par les interested. Auckland province should be able to make a good display. In additioi , there were opportunities for business 111 Fiji that the interested parties perhaps were rot aware of. Mr. Allum's proposal -was -adopted.
