A TRAVELLED CANARY.
Passengers on the Remuera, which arrived from London yesterday, were entertained daily during the voyage by the song of a canary, which has "the distinction of heing a much-travelled bird. It is tho pet of Mrs. Roger Wilson, who is accompanying her husband, Lieutenant-Colonel Wilson, formerly of the Indian Army, on a holiday visit to the Dominion. The canary has made two trips to India and one to South Africa, and though it appeared to disliko being inspected for the purpose of detecting any infectious diseases before it was allowed ashore, it chirped when it was carried down the gangway to continue its sight-seeing in New Zealand.
