FOOTBALL ACCIDENTS.
ALL MINOR INJURIES. The St. John Ambulance cars were kept fairly busy on Saturday afternoon attending to football casualties on various playing fields. None of the accidents was serious, and, after treatment in the casualty ward of the Auckland Hospital, the men were able to go home. Raymond Pell, of 9, Anglesea Street, Ponsonby, who was playing in a League match at Victoria Park, received concussion, as die Allan Lonergan, of 4, Devon Street, Newton, who was playing League football at Northcote. Ivan Crawford, aged 24, of H.M.s. Diomede, was hurt in tho back in a Rugby game at Devonport. Louis Schlesinger, of Parr Road, Point Chevalier, was injured in the same part. Leslie French, of Sutherland Road, Point Chevalier, Felix P. Judd, of 21, Middleton Road, Remuera, and R. A. Travis, of 20, Rosslyn Terrace, Devonport, all received minor injuries.
NORTH AUCKLAND MISHAP. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WHANGAREI, this day. While Saturday's game between Hikurangi and Horahora, at Rugby Park, was not rough, there were numerous stoppages for injuries, and three of Horahora's men had to go off. A. Baird and J. Bindon both had tiieir heads cut open, but were able to go home after being treated. P. Gardner also had to go off, an injury to his finger causing trouble.
