WARSHIP LEAVES AUCKXAWS). EXTENSIVE CRUISE PLANNED. Bound for warmer climes, the sloop Laburnum sailed this morning. She will make an extended cruise of the Islande, and will not return to Auckland until the end of September. After calling at Suva, the Laburnum will proceed to Apia, where the Administrator of Western Samoa, Mr. H. E. Hart, will be embarked for a cruise of the Tokelau group. Later, the sloop will visit Pago Pago, Rarotonga, the Hervey Islands, Nine, Lautoka, Lambasa, Levuka, Vavau, Nukualofa, and Suva. From Suva the vessel will take the High Commissioner for the Western Pacific, Sir Murchison Fletcher, on a visit to Tonga. She is duo to return to Auckland on September 27.

The Veronica, which, like the Laburnum, recently underwent an extensive overhaul, is to leave Auckland on Monday next. Her cruise will bo rather shorter than that planned for her sister, the vessel being due to return to Auckland on September 5.

The cruiser Diomede is to loave for the Islands on June 28, but will be away for only a month. On her return sho will carry out gunnery exercises in the gulf before sailing for Southern ports.

H.M.s. Duncdin, which recently completed an extensivo refit in England, is now on her way back to New Zealand. She is scheduled to arrive here on August 2.
