CLAY-BIRD SHOOTING.
AUCKLAND GUN CLUB.
There was a good attendance at Pakuranca on Saturday at the Auckland Gun Club's fortnightly shoot. A 10 birds match was divided by C. B. Hodge (19 yards), J. Donnelly (16 yards) and J. Millar (15 yards)',' with the possible. The chief match for Mr. F. E. McKenaie's trophv resulted in an outright win for J. Gribhie (13 yards), who shot the possible of 15 birds. C. B. Hodge (20 yards), M. Delich (14 yards) and F. B. McKenzie (13 yards), with 14 each, divided second and third money.
The final 10 birds match was Jivided by J. Donnelly (16 yards). D. Ewing (15 yards). L>. Peterson (15 yards). J. r. Whitney (13 yards), and M. Delich (12 yards), with eight each.
As the scores show, shooting was very difficult. The next shoot will be held on June 25.
A challenge has hern received from tin Wnikato Gun Clubs for a match with * loam picked from the combined Auckland clubs. The match will probably take plac* on July 10 at Auckland. The teams wifl be from lo to 20 men a side.
