BRIDGE SUICIDE.
Father of Eight Children Jumps Into Harbour. DEATH AFTER RESCUE. (Received 11.30 a.m.) SYDNEY, this day. Francis Thomson, 61, leaped from the Harbour Bridge and was killed. His body fell alongside a Customs launch and splashed the officials and crew of the launch who saw the body hurtling through the air. The man was still alive when dragged aboard but died later. He leaves a wife and eight children.
