In accordance with the provisions of the Education Act, 1014, nnd its Amendments, '• it is hereby notified that an Election of Seven Members of the Education Board of the District of Auckland, will be held on • WEDNESDAY, July l>o, 1932, viz.:— Three Members for the Auckland Urban Area (comprising the following school districts: Auckland City, Avondale, Avondale South, Belmont, Birkdale, Birkenhead, Brixton Road, Cornwall Park, Devonport, Edendale, Epsom, Gladstone, Grafton, Grey Lynn, Kohimarama, Maungawhau, Mdadowbnnk, Mount Albert, Mount Eden, New Lynn, Newmarket, Newton, Northeote, Onehunga, Owairaka, Parnell, Point Chevalier, Ponsonby, Ri-mucra, Royal Oak, St. Heller's, Stanley Bay, Takapuna, Te Papapa, Vauxhall), in place or Messrs. G. Brownlee, H. S. W. King and T. U. Wells, to retire. One Member for the Hamilton Urban . Area (comprising the school districts of Hamilton East, Hamilton West, Frankton and Wiiitiora) in place of Mr. F. A. Snell, to retire. One Member for the North Ward of the . Rural Area, in place of Mr. R. Hoc, to retire. One Member for the East Ward of the Rural Area, in place of Mr. A. Burns, t retire. One Member for the West Ward of the Rural Area, in place of Mr. J. Primrose, to retire. The Members for each Ward of the Rural Area or for the Auckland or Hamilton Urban Areas shall be elected by the members of the Committees of the school districts within such Ward or Urban Area, and each member of the Committees shall have as many votes as there are vacancies to be filled, but he shall give not more than one vote to any one candidate. IVo person shall be eligible as a Candidate for Election unless he is nominated in writing by at least two electors, and the nomination paper, bearing the candidate's consent in writing, is received by the undersigned before 5 o'clock on the afternoon of WEDNESDAY, June 29, 1932.
