N.Z. HOCKEY TEAM SELECTED
SEVEN ATTCKLANDERS PLACED. TWO WAIKATO BACKS CAPPED. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, this day. The team selected by the New Zealand Hockey Association to represent the Dominion on the Australian tour is:— Goalkeeper.—C. Moore (Wellington). Full-backs.—T. A. Ewan (Wnikato), P. J. Spiers (Wellington), T. G. Parker (Auckland), S. Andrews (Canterbury). Half-backs.—R. Munro (Waikato), P. J. Collins (Wellington), T. Clark (Auckland), H. F. Bollard (Wellington). Forwards.—D. Reid, P. H. Anthony, H. Jones, ¥' Wellbourne and M. Bay (Auckland), T. T. Turbitt (Otago), and 11. Best (Nelson). Mr. S. G. Holland, of Christcliuroh, is to be manager. The team is to leave by the Maungamri from Wellington on July 15. arriving in Sydney on July 19. It will then tornQueensland,. Victoria and New South Wales. According , to arrangements made by the Australian Hockey Association the team will play matches against South Australia and West Australia during the Australian and New Zealand carnival at Sydney, and will leave Sydney on August 20. arriving back at Wellington on August 30.
