STABLE GOVERNMENT.
AIM OF GERMAN CHANCELLOR. (Received 12.30 p.m.) BERLIN, June 0. Heir von Papen's Government denies any intention of appointing a Commissioner to administer Prussia. The Chancellor says lie aims at stable government. A new emergency decree imposes State salary cuts and other measures with a view to balancing the Budget. IRISH "SWEEP" FINANCE. BRITAIN'S SUBSCRIPTIONS. (British Official Wireless.) (Received 9.30 a.m.) RUGBY, June 9. Referring to Irish sweepstakes in the House of Commons the Home Secretary, Sir Herbert Samuel, said it was estimated that a total of £2,785,000, including £707,000 sellers' commission, had been subscribed in Britain for the sweepstake on the Derby.
In the six Irish sweepstakes about £13,285,000 had been subscribed from Britain, including sellers' commission, estimated at £2,357,000. A total of £7,086,000 had. been won in prizes.
