All those whose work was represented in tlie showing were presented to his Excellency, and Miss L. M. Cranwell, who is in charge of the botanical section at the Museum, explained to the visitors what they wanted to know in connection with the exhibits. Thereafter, for the best part of an hour, Lord and Lady Bledisloe went from >ho\v case to show ease, obviously inter-r-ted in and impressed by New Zealand flora. Perhaps, they, in eom'mon with many other visitor 5 , were surprised to li'iirn that the plants v hich grow in the Dominion are not dull and devoid of colour. Some of the paintings there displayed arc an eye-opener even to those who have grown up in this country. Their Excellencies spent some time looking at two easels covered with paintings. They complimented all exhibitors on the work, and on the way it was set out.
