N.Z. HOCKEY TEAM.
NO OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT. QUESTION OF EXPENSES. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, this day. No official information regarding the hockey players selected to represent New Zealand in Australia is yet available, but the Canterbury Association lias been advised concerning men conditionally chosen in order to facilitate the final selection. Each selected player has been asked to forward portion of the steamer fare, and the names of the team will not be available for publication until the selectors are satisfied that the players chosen are definitely available for the trip. The following players are understood to have been advised of selection in the New Zealand team, subject to the fulfilment. of the conditions regarding finance: Moore (Wellington). Spiers (Wellington), •Toblin (Wellington). Bollard (Wellington). Ewan (Waikato), and Munro (Waikato), as well as the seven Auckland players mentioned yesterday.
