FALSE PRETENCES CHARGE.
COMPANY MANAGER ACQUITTED. JURY ABSENT FOUR HOURS. (By Telegraph.—l'ress Association.) .NAPIER, this day. In the Supreme Court yesterday before the Chief Justice, Sir Michael Myers. William Ebenezer Hyslop war; acquitted on two charges involv ing false pretence*. It was alleged by the Crown that Kyslop. the managing director of the Tourist Motor Company, knowingly had made false declarations to an insurance company. The jury was absent almost four hour*, and the trial had lasted three clays.
