Harold Davidson, rector of Stiifkey, giving evidence at the Consistory Court hearing of the misconduct charges against him. Declaring that ho had suffered the cruellest slander, but that this did not deflect him from solicitude for the fallen, Mr. Davidson added that the Bishop of Norwich, while implying friendship, had been responsible for "the whole disgraceful business."
If this were known, no clergyman, he said, could trust the Bishop's spoken or written word.
