Y.W.C.A. FAIR.
A very busy scene was presented Yesterday afternoon, when the members of the Y/VV.C.A. held their Winter Garden World Fellowship Fair in tlie assembly hall. The room had been tastefully decorated with greenery and flowers, as well as pot plants, which were for sale, and the stalls did quite a good business. In opening the function, Mr. J. W. Court, chairman of the advisory board, who was introduced by the president, Mrs. A. D. Campbell, said that the policy of the movement had always been for world fellowship, and he mentioned Miss Ncssio Monerieff, who was working in China, Miss Jean Begg, now in India, and Ynki Kumura San, who visited Auckland and who is working in Japan.
During the afternoon a string orchestra played enjoyable selections. The stalls were in charge of the following: Health and rccreation, Mrs. J. T. F. Mitchell; holiday house, Miss K. O'Hallaran; girls' department, Mi's. D. Smith; service committee, Mrs. H. lvasper; house committee, Mrs. H. B. Webster; Mothers' Club, Mrs. 13. Edwards; World Fellowship, Mrs. Todd Smith; Women's Progressive Club, Mrs. Rowley; hostel committee, Miss T. Clark; library, Mrs. St. Clair Inglis; cafeteria, Mrs. J. Murdock; and membership committee, Mrs. G. H. Wilson. The sale was continued this afternoon, and good business was done to help raise the money needed for the quota, which Auckland has promised to this work for world fellowship.
