ATHLETIC ACCOUNTS.
■—i— ■ CANTERBURY AND AUCKLAND. A MATTER OF ENTRY FEES. (By Telegraph.—Special to "Star.") CHRISTCHURCH, this day. When two athletic centres are in one another's debt for amounts that almost tally, what is the procedure for settlement! The Auckland Amateur Athletic Centre wrote to the Canterbury Centre last night asking that urgent attention should be given to its account for entry fees of the Canterbury competitors at last New Zealand championships. The account was for £4 6/, but attention was drawn to the fact that Auckland Centre had not yet paid entry fees for its competitors at the New Zealand championships held at Christchurch four years ago. The account had been ignored each time it had been sent. The amount owing is £4 4/. " We've been waiting for payment for. four years," a member said.
Another member suggested one account should he made to cancel the other. It was decided to notify the Auckland Centre that its account for entries for the championships at Christchurch four years ago had not been paid.
