WOODHILL FIRE.
• _— EIGHT-ROOMED HOUSE LOST. An eight-roomed farmhouse, occupied by Mr. J. D. Guy, of Woodhill, was destroyed by fire at 9 o'clock this morning. Mr. and Mrs. Guy left for Auckland this morning about an hour before the outbreak. The housekeeper gave the alarm and neighbours from all round the district responded, and saved all the furniture.
This is the second fire that has occurred in the vicinity, the first being in a five-roomed house, store and post office belonging to Mr. G. McDonald, which was totally destroyed about a week ago. The house was about 100 yards from Mr. Guy's house.
