TWENTY-FIRST TERM.
WHAKATANE COUNTY CHAIRMAN. MK. REID AGAHST ELECTED. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WHAKATANE, Thursday. At yesterday's meeting of the Whakatane County Council Mr. Walter Reid was re-elected chairman for his 21st successive term. He has been in the council over 25 years. Mr. Fred Burt, who was re-elected a member this year, has also been on the coimcil over 25 years and Mr. A. J. Peebles, except for ono term, has been a member since the inception of the council about 30 years ago.
