SCCCER PROGRAMME.

GAMES FOR TO-MORROW. LEADERS AT BLANDFORD. The leaders in the senior Soccer championship will again be on Blandford Park to-morrow afternoon. Thistle will play the curtain-raiser with Glen Innes, and this will be followed by Y.M.C.A. playing Ponsonby. The first match should be a strenuous encounter, for though Thistle have undoubtedly the superiority in regard to finished play, Glen Inncs will cause them no end or annoyance by their rushing tactics and vigorous following up. The country team has taken its football very seriously this season, and has enlisted the assistance of a very experienced coach in an effort to stay the run of reverses. The players are keen and determined, and their tardy success so far is certainly not due to a lack of the will to win. It will be interesting to see how their shock i tactics are treated by Thistle. I

Ponsonby will appear on the park for the first time this season, and should provide stiff opposition to Y.M.C.A. The city club has been gradually working into a strong combination, and Y.M. may find them a harder proposition than is generally expected.

Tramurewa will again travel to Onehunga, where they will meet the locals, who play their first game at home this season. Neither club has been very impressive so far, but a strenuous game ifi likely. North Shore will be at home to New Lynn, and the strong-going Devonport side will start favourites for the points. Teams are as follows:— * THISTLE. .
