SALE OF A FARM.
CLAIM FOR DAMAGES FAILS. After a hearing lasting two days, a civil action was concluded at the Supreme Court yesterday, when Mr. Justice Smith gave judgment for defendant. The plaintiff was Walter Ernest Young, farmer, at Mangatangi, and he claimej from the defendant, Mrs. Elizabeth Nixon, of Pokeno, £710 as the difference between what plaintiff claimed was the real value of the farm and its value as represented to him. He also claimed £51 10/ for depreciation in the value of his cattle because of alleged lack of water on the farm, which he purchased in September, 1929, for £1423. Most of the evidence given centred on whether or not the property was suitable for a dairy farm and whether it was permanently watered.
