FIRE OVER CHINESE SHOP.
ROOMS EXTENSIVELY DAMAGED. Fire extensively damaged two living rooms above a Chinese fruiterer's shop at 332, Queen Street, about 9 o'clock last night. Stock on the ground floor was damaged by water leaking through from above. The premises, owned by Mr. F. Jagger, were occupied by W. Main Kuey, of the Far East Trading Company. * The City Brigade turned out to the outbreak, but no great difficulty was experienced in suppressing it. A policy of insurance for £SOO un the contents is held in the Australian Provincial Assurance Office.
