PACKING PASTE IN TUBES.
It is simple enough to squeeze shaving cream and tooth paste out of their tubes in the morning, but how did they get in tho tube? The empty tubes are placed in socket* and run on an endless band, connected with a machine of considerable dimensions. They first pass under the nozzle of a vat containing the substance with which they arc to be filled. After the tubes are filled they pass further along the machine to be mechanically scaled. As the tubes pass around, and assume a position in which they would be likelv to fall out of their holders, they contact" with a broad metal band which holds them until they reach the mouth of the chute. Then the band terminates, and the finished tubes pass into the box, i ready for packing.
