PRICES AT FRANKTON. DAIRY COWS IN DESIAND. Messrs. Dalgety and Company, Limited, report having held their usual weekly stock sale at Frankton saleyards on Tuesday as under:— Fat Sheep.—There was an average yarding of fair to good quality sheep, which sold at slightly lower prices than last week. Good fat ewes made to 7/2; failquality fat ewes, 6/8; medium quality wethers, 11/2 to 11/8; prime extra heavy woolly lambs, to 14/; ordinary fat lambs, 11/; light lambs, 9/ to 10/. Store Sheep.—A small yarding. Aged ewes, in lamb to Romney rams, 3/2; .store lambs, 5/10; cull lambs, 2/11 to 3/1. In conjunction with the Farmers' Co-op. Auctioneering Company, Limited, we sold on account of Sir. James Law purebied 4-tooth Romney ewes, in lamb to stud Romney rams, 12/6; others, 8/ to 10/6. Fat Cattle. —A large yarding. Any alterations in prices were in favour of buyers, but generally late rates ruled. Prime heifers ruled from £2 2/6 to £3 7/6; fat cows, 35/ to £2 17/6; others, 28/ to 34/. Store Cattle—Only a few pens of yearling heifers and boner cows, which sold at late rates. Dairy Cattle. —There was a fair demand for all good young cows in milk or at calving. We sold account Awaron Estate, cows, £6 10/, £7 5/, £6 10/, £5 5/, £4 15/, £3, £5, £5 10/, £3 15/, £4, £4 10/, £5 5/, and others £1 to £2 5/; two springing heifers, £3 15/. Pigs.—A medium yarding of both fat and store pigs came forward and sold at prices in advance of last week's quotations. Best baconers, £2 to £2 4/; lighter ditto, £1 11/ to £1 19/; heavy porkers, £1 6/ to £1 9/; medium porkers, 18/ to £1 4/; light porkers, 12/ to 16/; best stores, 9/ to 13/; choppers, £1 19/; slips, 7/ to 9/; best weaners, 7/6; others, 4/ to 5/6. Farmers' Co-operative Auctioneering Company, Limited, report as follows: — Sheep: Prime fat wethers sold at 15/ to 15/10; prime two-tooth ewes and wethers, 13/11; medium fat wethers, 13/1 to 14/; light, 11/ to 12/; forwaiil-conditioncd, S/3 to 9/10; heavy fat ewes, 8/ to 10/; medium, 6/ to 6/9; killable, 4/ to a /G: heavy fat lambs, 12/6 to 14/: medium, 11/ to 11/6; light, 9/ to 10/6. Cattle: Heavy fat steers, £6 5/ to £6 6/; medium, £5 13/ to £5 17/6: light. £3 19/ to £4 10/; heavy fat cows, £2 15/ to £3; medii.ni, £2 to £2 10/; light, 3'2/ to 35/; boners, 8/ to 14/; four-tooth to four-year old breeding ewes, 12/ to 12/6; five-year-old breeding ewes, 8/ to 9/; sound-mouthed ewes, 5/. Pigs: Heavy baconers, £2 to £2 4/; medium, 35/ to 38/; light, 29/ to 32/; heavy porkers, 24/ to 28/; medium, 19/ to 23/; light, 14/ to 16/; stores, 10/6 Ito 12/6; slips, 6/6 to 9/6; weaners, 5/ to 17/6.
