PENSIONERS' WINDFALL.
PAYMENT OF EXCHANGE. TRANSFER FROM LONDON. Residents in Auckland who receive pensions paid by the Imperial Government had a windfall this morning by the receipt in a lump sum of the amount representing the difference in exchange. London on New Zealand, which had accumulated over the past two years. Pensions payable in New Zealand 011 behalf of the Imperial Government are now to obtain the benefit of the exchange rate, and the amount of it is to be payable half-yearly.
