takajnini trial. REFRESHER GOES WELL. The middle grass, with the poles 20ft out, was available at Takanini this morning, but there was little doing. Refresher, Imperial Prince and Chief Jewel were in that order at the end of six furlongs in 1.21 3-5. St. Ames brought them home over the last half-mile, and was right up with them. Lady Yane was doing better than Fouhvind at the end of five furlongs in 1.7, and over a similar distance Huntingdon recorded 1.9, but did not work as well as usual. Catch 'Em gave Night Warrior twelve lengths' start and beat him on the post after traversing five furlongs in 1.6, Night Warrior taking 1.8 2-5. LADY QUEX SCRATCHED. Lady Quex was scratched at 11.25 a.m. to-day for all engagements at the Great Northern meeting. T. R. George is expected to arrive this afternoon from Te Rapa with Make Up, Landniirk, Appledore and Miladi.
