Earl of Egitwnt's Mode of Life
At Avon Castle.
MARKET GARDENER.
LONDON, May 17.
The late Earl of Egmont and his son, aged 18, had lived simply in Avon Castle since they arrived from Calgary in 1929.
The earl became a market gardener and drove his produce to the nearest markets and sold it for cash. He kept several outdoor hands, but no indoor servants, the father and son doing their own housework in a mansion containing 43 rooms.
