TWO WOMEN IN HOSPITAL

BOTH STRUCK BY CARS

DEATHS EARLY THIS MORNING.

As tlie result of head injuries she received when she was knocked down by a taxi-cab at the corner of Airedale and Queen Streets on May 4, Mrs. Emily Jane Campbell, of 4, Ligar Place, Grafton, died in the Auckland Hospital at 2 o'clock this morning. Mrs. Eva Holland, a widow, aged 58, who was struck by a motor car and knocked down on the afternoon of May 7, near the intersection of Karangahape Road and Ponsonby Road, also died early this morning. She was admitted to the Auckland Hospital with a fractured leg and other injuries. She lived at 15, Maidstone Street, Grey Lynn.
