TIME-TABLE ALTERATIONS,

At this morning's meeting of the Metropolitan Licensing Authority_ (the Auckland Transport Board) permission was granted to the Passenger Transport Company to discontinue the Point Eng-land-Auckland service on the grounds that there were too few passengers to continue operating. Amended time-tables in • connection with the St. Helier's-Newmarket and St. Helier's-Tamaki Drive services were approved, the operator, Mr. L. J. Keys, stating that the Tamaki Ratepayers' Association had agreed to the amendments.
