BAND'S INDEBTEDNESS.
DEPUTATION AT WHANGAREI,
(By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.)
WHANGAREI, this day.
Facing an indebtedness of £240, the Whangarei Municipal Band is in jeopardy. A deputation from the band waited upon the Borough Council last night asking whether some scheme could not be evolved for clearing the organisation of its liabilities and enabling its continuance at nominal cost.
A committee was appointed to confer with the band and make recommendations to the council.
