"SIX LITTLE PUPPY DOGS."
TITLING COMPETITION PROVES POPULAR
LIMERICK WANTED FOR NEXT WEEK.
Dear Girls and Boys,— Who would not love to own those six chubby Alsatians shown in the photograph reproduced., in the Budget a fortnight ago? Judging by the many titles submitted, they were favourites of. all and proved to be the subject for many good titles. Budgetites remembered my comments on previous competitions and submitted titles that were short yet appealing. "Who's Who, sent in by Lois Kendall, was awarded the first of the half-crown prizes, the second going to Edna Thomas for "The Rising Generation." "Puppy Days was another prize-winning title submitted by Joan Blomfield. "Mischief in Meditation." "We Are Hix." "Six of a Kind." and "The Family Six ' were other titles of merit submitted by prize winners.
In the past Budgetites have proved themselves clever at making limericks and I feel sure that the competition arranged for to-day will prove popular. Two lines of a limerick are supplied and competitors are wanted to supply the remaining &fl three lines. Full particulars for this competition are given in the announcement which appears elsewhere on this *sJJjo™P'^^ page. e^
