ESCAPED PRISONER.
REPORTED TO HAVE HAD A LIFT,

OTOROHANGA, Tuesday.
A man answering to the description of the escaped prisoner, Charles Bennett, is reported to have been given a lift _today by the representative of a milking machine company on his way going north from Otorohanga. The motorist dropped the man at a Kihikihi hotel, and not until later did he learn the suspected identity of his passenger.
