WAIHI GOLD MINING COMPANY. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WAIHI, this day. The following Information has been cabled to London :— No. 10 Level, Martha Lode.—The rise east of Brooks stope lias connected to "No. 9 level. The width of the lode is about of good grade sulphide ore. Empire Lode Hangingwall. — The prospecting drive has been driven a further 48ft. No. 11 Level. — In the north section, Empire lode, in the crosscut at 137 ft northeast, next 12ft assays 14/3 per ton. No. 12 Level.—At 200 ft in Bath crosscut 27ft has been driven cast on Martha lode. Assay value is 18/ per ton.

GOLDEN DAWN

The following is the mine report for two weeks ending March 28 :—Drive north on No. 1 reef, No. 3 level, has been extended 24 feet, total 75 feet, from north end of stopes. The reef here still averages 12 inches wide and by assay carries very good ore. Drive north on No. 3 reef, No. 3 level, .has been extended 49 feet, total 99 feet from north end of main stopes. The reef here averages 15 inches wide and by assay still carries payable ore. No. 3 level: Stoping is being carried on in three blocks on No. 1 reef with machines working three shifts. The reef here averages 2ft 6in wide and the ore broken is of payable class and in places the reef carries very good ore. Stoping is also being carried on in two blocks on No. 3 reef above No. 3 level. The reef here averages three feet wide and Hie ore broken is also of a payable class. Machines are also working here three shifts.
