RACING AT FLEMINGTON.

THE AUSTRALIAN CUP. MABSTAR BEATS MIRA DONNA AMMON EA STILL WINNING. MELBOURNE, March 6. The Victoria Racing Club's autumn meeting was concluded at Flemington yesterday in warm weather and before a good attendance. The fact that before the opening event, the Leonard Stakes, was run, several riders were searched for electric batteries, 'but without result, caused o sensation. Amnion Ra had a comfortable win in the C. M. Lloj-d Stakes, in which he was ridden by M. McCarten. Waterlinc dislodged his rider at the start and Mystic Peak was left at the post. Amnion Ea has now won £24,100 in stakes. Dominant was always prominent in the Leonard Stakes and won brilliantly in time equalling the course record. Powerscourt atoned his for Sires' Produce Stakes failure by a brilliant win in the Ascot Vale Stakes. He will probably visit Sydney for the juvenile classic races. Closing Time led early, 'but tired. An outsider, Madstar, had a brilliant win from Mire Donna and Blatherskite in the Australian Cup. He is the third Adelaide representative to win the event in the last four years. He was ridden by tho Adelaide jockey, R. Medhurst. lhc trainer, Sinclair, also has Dominant. Madstar was one of the favourites until he failed in the Brunswick Stakes last week. Vertigern looked dangerous at the distance but died out in the run home. Blatherskite made a fame effort, beniß in the lead for the greater part of the race. Mira Donna made a surprising finishing effort. riii Viol D'Amour scored a comfortable win in the Elms Handicap, in which Attacon finished brilliantly for second. The imported horse Hazrat had a comfortable win in the Farewull Handicap. The trainer, Bradfield, also has charge of Mural Crown.
