UPPER HARBOUR NEWS.
» WHENUAPAI RATEPAYERS. An address on county council expenditure was given by Mr. R. Glasgow, riding member for Waitakerc, at a meeting of the Whenuapai Ratepayers' Association. He supported the association in a proposal to increase the subsidy on the Henderson to Helonsville main highway, on the ground that being close to Auckland it needed a greater subsidy. Mr. G. Kennedy was elected a<3 a delegate to the Upper Waitemata Harbour Development Association. The annual Whenuapai school picnic was held at Pine Island. There was a large attendance of parents and children, and a sports programme was carried out by the school committee.
