EX-WHANGAKEI HEADMASTER GRAND JURY REJECTS CHARGE. Included among tlie list of cases thrown out by the grand jury at the session of the Supreme Court was one against Albert Burnett Charters, late principal of the TVhangarei District High School, who was to have appeared on three charges of false pretences. The charges arose out of transactions with business firms, in respect of which it was alleged the accounts had been wrongly endorsed as chargcable to the High School Board. In the Magistrate's Court Mr. Charters pleaded not guilty, reserved his defence, and was allowed bail of £100.
