GRADING OF POULTRY.

NEW CANADIAN REGULATIONS.

(From Our Own Correspondent.) VANCOUVER, January 1. Amendments to the regulations respecting the grading and marketing of dressed poultry, brought into force through promulgation in the current issue of the "Canada Gazette," prescribe the use of specific colours for tags marking the several grades, and also provide important, modifications in grade definitions. For marking the grades in dressed poultry the colours used in awarding prizes at all class "A" fairs throughout Canada are used:—Purple, awarded to the championship classes denotes the grade special in dressed poultry; red, the first prize colour, denotes the grade "A"; blue, the second prize colour, the grade "B"r and yellow, the third prize colour, the grade "C." A hew provision incorporated in the regulations relates to the advertising of dressed poultry. The use of untrue, deceptive, or misleading advertising is forbidden.
