PRICE OF BREAD.
REDUCTION IN MARCH. EFFECT OF LOWER COSTS. (Ry Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, this day. The price of bread will be reduced from the beginning of March, said a prominent baker to-day. This will follow lower wheat prices and the imposition of the 10 per cent cut. The amount of the reduction is not stated. Mr. IT. P. Burton, of Auckland, president of the Master Bakers' Association, said this afternoon that nothing had been done in reference to a reduction in the price of bread, but the. whole question would be discussed at the Dominion conference of master bakers to be held in Palmcrston North on February 10.
