UNEMPLOYMENT LEVIES.
| TWO PAYMENTS DUE TO-DAY. TAXPAYERS' DECLARATIONS. Persons liable for the payment of the general unemployment levy are reminded that the third instalment of 5/ becomes due to-day, February 1, and must be paid during this month. To-day is also the due date for payment of the second instalment of the emergency charge on income for the year ended March 31, 1931. Taxpayers liable for "the" emergency chargo who do not wish to disclose their income at the post office, may make the necessary declaration on the coloured form U. 8.-55 (a) to the Commissioner of Taxes. Those who declare their incomes at the post office will use the white form U. 8.-55. In each ease the amount of the tax must be paid when making the declaration.
