COMPENSATION CLAIM.
TAKAPUNA GRAMMAR SCHOOL. In view of the enforced delay in the construction of the three-storeyed eastern wing at the Takapuna Grammar School last year, a claim for compensation was received by the Auckland Grammar School Board at its meeting yesterday from the contractors. The opinion was expressed that, as the delay had been clue to the formulation of the earthquake risk regulations, the claim, which was for £62 10/, should be sent on to the Education Department in Wellington. The board adopted this course.
